Images upload to X, Instagram, and Threads often are misoriented

When I create posts with images on the mobile app and cross post to multiple social media accounts, I see that on some accounts the media has been mangled, either misoriented (rotated randomly) or if it’s a video, sometimes “squashed”. It seems to happen randomly, but really hurts my confidence
